Change Agents help an organization transform itself through organizational effectiveness, improvement, and development.

 

 

Focus:

*The people, and the effect of changing technology, structures; as well as, the task of interpersonal & group relations in the organization.

 

 
 

 Role and competencies:

 

Change agent consultant serve as researchers, trainers, counselors, and teachers; shifting roles depending on the needs of the organization.

 

Four competencies:

 

1. Broad : Multidisciplinary industry knowledge including; conceptual, diagnostic, evaluative knowledge, understanding the methodology of change, and ethical knowledge.

2. Operational and Rational: listen, trust, form relationships, observe, identified, and report. Be flexible with dealing with relationships and behavior.

3. Sensitivity and Maturity: demonstrated, and be aware of your own motivations.

4. Opportunity: practice what you preach.
